Kilkari case study

Kilkari: A maternal and child health service in India, lessons learned and best practices for deployment at scale

It's been almost a year since Kilkari, our mHealth education service for new and expecting mothers, went live in 6 Indian states.

During this time, we've successfully reached 2 million families, and are now reaching 750,000 families every week.

The Government of India has made the service FREE to women who register their pregnancies or births with the public health service in Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, and is covering the cost of every call.

Read about the lessons we've learned on our 3.5 year journey from launching the service in Bihar in 2013 to scaling it with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in a case study published by the GSMA.

The GSMA is the global association of all GSM mobile operators world wide.
