Amajit Mukherjee

Amajit works as Project Director of Shaping Demand and Practices project. With 15 years’ experience, Amajit is a project implementation and communication research expert, who focuses on social and behaviour change communication. He joined BBC Media Action in 2011.

With a background in project monitoring & evaluation and implementation of social marketing initiatives, Amajit specializes in strategic development, editorial supervision, management and implementation of social and behaviour change communication programs.

Previously, he has worked extensively on HIV/AIDS, condom social marketing, reproductive health, MNCH, rural development and sustainable development with natural resource management. He has worked with organisations like AC Nielsen and Population Services International in the past. Amajit holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Resource Management from the University College Dublin, Ireland. He also holds a Master's degree in Genetics from G.B. Pant University, Pantnagar, India.
